Our Impact
Since our inception in 1980, Court Network has provided support to court users so they can better understand the process and empower them to engage in their own proceedings.

“As a result of my role as President of the Victorian Bar, I have come to understand the pressures on our justice system better than most. Our legal aid system is chronically underfunded. There are increasing numbers of unrepresented litigants, appearing in all courts. Accused persons, other litigants and witnesses often arrive at court without having had the benefit of independent advice or assistance.
Into that foreign and intimidating environment steps Court Network: quietly, supportively, and empathetically assisting members of the community to navigate the court system.
Court Network’s role in providing support in that context is, in my view, simply indispensable.”
“Having a friendly face approach you and offer you information and help is such a reassuring presence that helps alleviate some of the anxiety on the day. Thank you! This service is priceless.”
“I really appreciate the support – I’ve been doing this all on my own to this point.”
“The support I received from Court Network today was great. I was in court by myself with no one to support me. The Networker offered to be there for me and it made a huge difference to be supported through the court process. Thank you so much.”
“I am very grateful for the support. I don’t know what would have happened if Court Network were not available to provide support for me. The support and care was much appreciated.”
“Court Network provides an essential service that has a significant impact on the experience of court users. I have experienced first-hand the difference a court Networker can make, providing information and support to court users at times when they may feel distressed or overwhelmed. I am grateful to the many hard-working volunteers who assist the Court by ensuring users are informed, empowered, and ready to engage with their proceedings.”
