After more than 20 years of supporting people at Melbourne and Dandenong Family Courts, Court Network will conclude its services at these locations following the end of program funding.

Federal funding for the Safety Net Services program ended in June 2026. Since July, Court Network has self-funded services in Melbourne and Dandenong while pursuing alternative funding. Despite extensive advocacy and funding efforts, we have been unable to secure the support needed to continue.

This outcome reflects funding constraints and is not a reflection of the value or effectiveness of the service. The independent, third-party evaluation illustrates the success of the program and the need for its continuation. For more than two decades, our Networkers and staff have provided compassionate, practical support to people navigating the family law system, while working closely with court teams and other court-based services.

We thank every Networker, staff member and partner who has contributed to this work. Their empathy and dedication have made a lasting difference to court users and the wider court community.

Court Network remains committed to supporting people navigating the justice system. We will continue pursuing new funding opportunities, partnerships and service models with the goal of returning to family courts and expanding our impact.
