Please see following which outlines the process for applying to become a Court Network volunteer in Victoria.
After the Information Session, we ask interested volunteers to attend a court to complete an observation task. This allows you to see first-hand what our Networkers do in the courts and provides you with court room experience.
We then ask that you reflect on what you saw and how this impacted you.
You will need to complete an online application form with your personal details; court observation reflections and insights; availability - days and regions; and referee details.
Based on your completion of the application form and observation task, we will invite you to an Orientation Session. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and your interest in becoming a Networker. We also ask you to complete some exercises around communications, teamwork and unconscious bias. In this session we are able to match people based on their availability and regional preference, depending on our vacancies.
The Training Program runs for 5 weeks. It includes:
Induction - 2 days
Training - 3 days
Supervised Practice - minimum 5 days
The probation period for all new Networkers is 3 months.
